    2015 Tacoma SR5
Hi all - I bought a 2015 Tacoma SR5 a few months ago as I got a really good deal on it and needed a reliable truck for towing my boat and for the wintertime. I’ve always loved the look of squarebody pick ups, just didn’t want to sacrifice reliability and have to pour tons of time/money into upkeeping a 40 year old vehicle. Perhaps that is naive - regardless, I have a Tacoma. Has anyone ever heard of/think it would be possible to alter the front end of a 2nd gen taco to have a squarebody? How would one go about doing so? Never modded a vehicle before but it might be a fun project. I know kids with sedans and coupes modify their cars bodies all the time using metal/fiberglass. However, is such a huge outline change possible on a Tacoma? Thanks

I feel like there would be a 3D printer involved... or what @whatstcp said. Pay the man his money. [IMG]

any good conversion usually involves a sawzall, and a case of beer at the beginning of the weekend.

i hate this mantra. so anything that's "been done" can't be done again?

you also can't go off like that and not even bother to mention the amazing kei car kits that turn vans into anything from a mini-c10 to a school bus, to a jeep forward control look-alike.

vehicles can be fun, and it doesn't matter if anyone else does something if it's what you want. instead of "look, someone else did it once, go pound sand, try being more inventive you idiot", maybe offer up something a little more encouraging next time...

Uhhh, OP asked if could be done, response is "it's been done" and he provided a link for reference and advised the OP who's never done such work it'll be a serious undertaking. Seems helpful to me bud.

Not a fan of the old cruiser look on the taco. I’m really trying to like it.
