What does " clap through my neighborhood" mean?

 

A "clapped out" car means it's abused, busted up and obnoxiously loud (like from a hacked up exhaust)

 

some of the trucks trucks are so freaking loud it sounds like they’re right outside your window. That popping resonates off of everything and that noise travels much further than you would think. And it’s all on purpose. It will wake you up when they come through at 2am purposely on the gas to be as loud as possible.
