I drive a 6speed manual 05 tacoma and recently(and this has become more noticeable and louder at times) I notice a almost screech like squeak coming from the bell housing when i push in the clutch pedal up until about 10% the way in. same with releasing

I found this video and it sounds very similar https://youtu.be/PNfp83Od_c4

Any ideas on a fix for this if anyone’s experienced similar problems. I’ll record my own video aswell for better accuracy

sounds like a dry throwout bearing, at least on the honda in the video. Also there should be a boot on that transmission in the video. I'm a honda guy before I got my taco.

Well the factory junk on my used 89 lasted 203,000 miles and my 2011 has about 130K on the original and I tow a camper and feel no difference than new. Yep the bearing makes a noise when cold from all most new hasn't changed a bit and until it gets a new clutch it's not going to get replaced.

Mine is still chirping after 176,000 miles and still performing perfectly, even after significant offroad use
