I got a squeak coming from my driveshaft I think. I have a 09 Tacoma Pre-runner 2wd and I don't know if I have to replace and U-joints or just grease them, and if I do have to replace any how many are there thanks!

IF you have grease fittings you should be greasing them every oil change ( my opinion ). Note you may or may not have grease fittings. My Prerunner does, many have reported that they don't. Crawl under and look.

There are three on a Prerunner one at the transmission, one after the center carrier bearing and one at the differential.

If you have them pump grease in until you see Clean Fresh Grease come out of all four end caps of each universal joint. Then take a ride and see if the noise is gone. You may still need new joints, but the grease will help.
