I have a squeak coming from a plastic part under the dash on the passenger side. This part is the part that moves when you adjust the temperature from hot to cold. When the dial is adjusted as cold as it will go, I hear a squeak. When I crank it a bit over toward hot, the squeak stops. I will try to attach pictures. The A/C blower is over on the far right under the passenger dash, but this part is over to the far left.

    Wow. No one?

I believe my issue may be the A/C actuator. Can this be lubricated or will it need to be replaced?

Yes. The blend door. Or the actuator. Or the servo. Half my issue was the part has 10 names. It was $260 from the dealer or $150 on eBay. I removed it, greased it, and my problem is solved.

I had the same symptoms. My problem was the blend door servo motor. 40 bucks from rock auto. Only 3 screws to replace.
