It started with the tell tale chirp and now there is a little grinding/occultation sound when I release my clutch. Needless to say a new clutch and T/O bearing is in my near future. What kit is the best and what is your experience with them?
I know URD has a cult following here and I respect that. Just curious about the PDM version as it looks almost identical.
    Thanks,

From what I could tell a few years ago, they are identical kits, and even had the same part numbers. I tried to deal with PDM as their price with shipping to Canada was a bit better than URD and they offered USPS shipping as an option, but when checking out in their online store, Canadian shipping was no longer an option. I ended up having to some poor dealings with someone at PDM trying to cancel, the customer service was terrible to say the least. Quite the opposite when dealing with Gadget at URD - very pleasant dealings there - I called to ask if he would ship USPS even though the website listed only courier options, no problem, he was very accommodating. This was a few years back, but I know where I'd deal next time. And who I'd recommend.:)

Subbed because my truck's been chirping for a few months now, goes away when I touch the clutch pedal so I'm 99.9% it's the throwout bearing too.

Out of curiosity, how long before you started noticed the clutch grinding? Mine's been chirping for a few months but aside from that, everything else appears normal...so far.

Mine chirped for 6 months or so before those crickets had to die. ;)

I did take it into my local dealership for the issue, of course they "could not replicate the problem"

This is the same dealership that told me the grinding sound I was hearing a few months ago was due to my aftermarket floor mats. Independent mechanic discovered my transfer case skid plate had gotten bent and was rubbing. Dealerships are full of geniuses.

Anyway, I'm hoping the throwout bearing holds out long enough until I need to replace my clutch as well, since it's all gotta come off anyway.

I am probably 6 months into the chirping. I am about ready to kick the birds out. In the process I may as well do a clutch and a flywheel. Not too happy about dropping that money on it though when my AC compressor sounds like a super charger and I have a bit of valve noise that could get looked at. When it rains it pours I guess.
