My 2016's driver seat is squeaking like an ancient bed. It's got 59k miles and I weigh around 200 lbs. Not exactly a waif, but also not headed for liposuction. I'd think a seat could handle that kind of weight with no problem. The seat creaks/squeaks on any little turn, any shift of my weight... What could it be? Sounds like it's from the lower, rear right side, near the center console, close to where the seatbelt attaches. I've moved the seatbelt attachment around, tried to bend it out, etc. It's not that. I took the seat out 2 years ago to install seat heaters but the squeaking only started a month or two ago.

Any help greatly appreciated, as this is far more annoying than the passenger side pillar crackling sound (which I'll fix when it warms up and I don't have to worry about cracking the plastic).

Bushing (nylon) where back of seat bolts to bottom of seat. Haven't had it on tacoma, but on my Lexus.

So would tightening the seat work or is that too easy?
Thanks. I'll check it out soon. About to head out on a 6 hour drive. Wish I'd asked/fixed it beforehand! :frusty:

Mine was worn and cracked. Couldn't get it right away so I flip it to door side of seat So it was easier to replace when it came in. Didn't make noise when I flipped it around.

It knows I'm on to it and it was fairly quiet during a 6 hour drive each way across NY. :D
