First post here so excuse me if im doing something wrong... I have a 2001 single cab and have been getting a terrible squeaky noise comming form the rear can mounts the past couple months. And its not just every bit and than its constantly no matter what. I replaced them with the energy suspension ones, greased them, tightened them, loosened them, but nothing works. Any ideas or people with the same issue?

How are you so sure that's what is still squeaking?

Sounds like you've done your due diligence, might be time to consider other possible sources of the squeak.

Last year (at least I think it was last year) somebody replaced all of his cab mounts and wrote a procedure describing what he did. Including pictures. Then he wrote that after doing all that work (and it was quite a bit of work) it made absolutely no difference in ride, feel, or noise...:angrygirl:

Wow thanks for all the feedback... It wasnt the mounts! It was my side step rubbing on the metal. No more squeaks but i did notice my leafs are saggy so will be replacing them soon.

A few years ago I was tracing this mystery "clunk" in my front suspension for like a year; replaced all ball joints, bushings, tie rods etc... Turned out to be my K&N intake was clunking on the heat shield. I could have fixed it for exactly zero dollars. But at least I had all new suspension afterwards!

    Glad you figured it out.
