    Hey TacomaWorld,

I've been dealing with a persistent squeaky/chirping sound coming from the driver's side front wheel of my 2009 TRD Sport. The noise is inconsistent but loud when present. It is synced with wheel rotations, and when I turn right (putting weight on the left side), it gets louder. However, when I turn left (putting weight on the right side), the noise goes away for a second.

I have Bilstein 5100s with OEM springs. As far as I know, no suspension maintenance was performed by the first owner. The truck currently has 130k miles. It could be a wheel bearing, tie rod, or ball joint maybe?

Has anyone experienced something similar or have any ideas on what it could be? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

Probably a rock stuck inside the dust shiels against the rotor. Check that first

I actually swapped in a new set of rotors last week and checked the shields for rocks. Unfortunately, the sound started before that.

    Hey TacomaWorld,

I wanted to provide an update on the chirping sound coming from my driver's side front wheel. After a weekend of offroading, the noise has become more consistent and louder, but it still doesn't seem to affect the drivability of the truck. The sound is especially noticeable during right turns or when weight is on the left side.

Given this new information, I'm wondering if this could be related to the CV axle or possibly a bearing somewhere in there. Does anyone have experience with similar symptoms? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

    Same crap everyone else got
Have you jacked up the front and just free spun the wheel to see if you can pin point the sound?

I got it up in the air when I swapped the rotors and couldn't find anything when I spun the wheel. It seems like a weight has to be on the wheel, which leads me to believe it could be suspension-related. Has anyone had coils or anything in there consistently chirp at you?
