No money, all went to truck...
Hi All, question for you folks. I have a 2012 DCSB 4x4 manual and had the squeaky clutch recall done 2 years ago. The squeak is back! Anyone have any similar experiences with this? I'm going to call toyota and see if there's anything they can do as the recall work was done and the truck is no longer under warranty.

    There some good info here
If you just search "clutch creak" or "squeak" you will come up with a lot of hits. Some say the TSB worked for them, others did the TSB only to have the sound come back the next day. There have been a some solutions suggested by a couple of very wise TW members.
    For me this has worked:

    1) Creak coming from the clutch pedal - Grease the shaft that goes from the pedal to the master cylinder, rotate the shaft and pump the clutch to disperse the grease. Repeat whenever the creaking comes back.

    2) Squeak/Creak from outside the truck - Look underneath the truck for the slave cylinder, peal back the dust boot, apply grease inside, disperse grease, reinstall dust boot, pump clutch. Repeat when necessary.

Should you decide to have the TSB performed without warranty, fyi, my dealership quoted me over 800 dollars including labor to perform the task.

OK so I checked out my clutch and was read to grease the shaft (hehe). Anyway when I checked it out the shaft seemed perfectly fine. When I looked closer it was actually the coiled spring that was doing all the squeaking. When the spring was compressed it squeaked a lot. So I greased the crap out of it and the whole area. Squeaking stopped!!

    But its slowly coming back...

    damn
