Not sure what they did yet. They are going to mail me the paperwork, as I had to leave and didn't have time to wait for the write up and it was covered under warranty. Once I get the details I will share.

It's like driving a new truck. It feels great. Hoping this will be a permanent fix.

Same thing happened to me. They replaced a whole bunch of parts, and the clutch felt SMOOTH. Then the squeak came back 8 months later. Took it back in and they greased something and it made the squeak go away. Traded the truck in before I gave it a chance to come back.

Hopefully it's better for you. At least you can keep getting it fixed under warranty!

It's amazing, really. After time I would start to hear the squeak and could feel, in the clutch travel, when it was squeaking.

Now it's very smooth, like a new clutch. You can't feel or hear any of the old issues.

Based on other's remarks it may come back, but I'll enjoy the ride for the summer

I bought a my 2010 Tacoma a couple months ago and I had the squeaky clutch pedal TSB done under warranty a week after I bought it. I also noticed that I couldnt always get a smooth shift out of first gear and sometimes when the truck was cold, 1st gear would slip and the whole truck would shutter until I pressed the clutch back in then restarted. I took it to the dealer today and they are doing 2 other TSB's to cover it.

Mine was doing this. It's a bitch to get to but I hosed the pivot point down with WD-40, the new stuff with blue torque technology or something like that, and it's been quiet for several months now.
It took me two shots because I really had to contort to get under the dash to see it well enough.

I think it's been about six months now.

I know this is an older thread, but my 2015 tacoma does this.. But then my 1985 Camry did this, 1986 celica, 1992 previa, 1999 corolla, and 2005 Scion Xb.. All of which did this for over 200K miles... Some had metal assembly parts, some rubber, some plastic.. all were caused by heat from the position of the floor heater in reference to where the assembly is located.. A permanent solution is to re-route the floor heater duct work under the dash to another position, or plug the drivers side foot heat vent with something.. (in the winter) in the summer, the AC will actually stop it from happening.. You can twist this, or lube that, but over time nothing actually fixes the issue permanently.. and will make you become a professional contortionist.. Might be good for your romantic life, but will just lead to aggravation when shifting gears..

Typically the issue for me was caused by this 10 dollar part.. 90949-03136 which is the return spring, that binds on the plastic fittings on the metal cage.. The problem i get is that with the different metals and materials, you seem to get different rates of expanding, or contrasting, causing the binding feeling..

I can't speak for everyone here, but it's not a uncommon toyota issue, and at least for me, never caused anything outside of an annoyance..

I used some tri-flow dry lube on the push rod in my 6spd yesterday, and my clutch pedal is silent now! Might give this a shot man!

Definitely do! Its a pita to get the little bottle up there above where the top of the push rod is, but once you do just let it drip down in there. I did that and then pushed the clutch in and out several times and repeated that until it quieted down. Silence is bliss:D

@scottalot also be sure to put a towel or napkin on the floor below the clutch pedal to keep any excess from getting in your carpet.. i have all weather flooring in mine so it was easy to clean up, but id have been pissed at myself if i had carpet..

Sure did man! It was a cake walk. A huge upgrade over the carpet for sure!

I have a few pics and part #s in here:

This happened to my truck and I tried WD-40 multiple times with no success. Heres what you do:

    1) Remove the drivers seat. I know it sounds extreme, but hear me out. The seal removal is super easy, 4 bolts and a couple wire plugs underneath. This will allow you to lay on your back where the seat used to be and work on the necessary area.

    2) Buy white lithium grease. Sticks to high heaven, is a pain to work with, but it's the answer.

    3) Lay in your truck where the seat used to be and literally grease every moving part, pivot, spring and rod that has anything to do with your clutch petal.

    4) Reinstall the seat and enjoy squeak free clutch function.
