    I don’t think those would work on 2Gen Tacoma’s. The spring hangers and shackles are designed differently to accept a 14mm size bolt instead of the older style 18mm size bolt that was used in previous Toyota’s. Hence the metal sleeve that needs to be used in the polyethylene bushings of the 2 Gen Tacoma’s. That’s what I’ve gathered from searching around.

    Mine came with isolators but with the crappy front rubber bushing. Moves around like crazy and is nearly pushed all the way to one side. Also pops loud and harsh when flexing.

    I found these threads on Dobinsons greasesble pins in doing some digging on TW. Thought it might help out a little in explaining what the pin actually greases.

    Thanks for the research. My plan was to drill small holes in the sleeves as well. Possibly a small hole on each end of the sleeve. I have a drill press, might as well use it.

    That OME bushing needs to go. You can probably disconnect the front of the pack, and simply hammer strike with a large socket to get it out. It won't take much.

    Sounds like a good plan. Anything to get some grease in between the bolt sleeve and the polyurethane bushing. I’m pretty sure that’s where the noise is mostly coming from. I read another thread where they were drilling out the holes in the spring hangers and shackles to accommodate the 18 mm greasesble bolts sold for the older Toyota’s. Of course you wouldn’t need the metal sleeves in the bushings anymore and it would grease up the bushing even better. But I’m not sure if that’s a good idea or not :confused:

    Nah. A fully greasable shackle is the way to go. I modified OEM ones.

    Just bought some Dobinsons greasable pins for the front and rear. I have plans to also drill the sleeves. Once the pins get here, I'll report back.

    I'm not running darkars yet but on my stock leaves with ICON AAL I find routine use of Fluid Film keeps them quiet. They were making noise at one point after a year of not coating. I sprayed them down and it went away.
