gonna wait until the hotter weather returns to troubleshoot, cold spell after hail storm last night (no squeak!)
i think it looks like just a plastic piece (arm?) rolling over metal inside the jam, but the sample one I have is very aged (dirty farm truck)

    4th of July update
its been quite hot and humid here for the past couple weeks ~ 90F and 70%~80% humidity
the doors have ceased their squeaky nature and I did absolutely nothing to change that or perhaps the squeak has relocated itself to another area of the truck

the only 'noise' that I can now hear while opening/closing doors is a very faint 'rub' like its the plastic DCA going in and out
not sure if that sound is normal and supposed to do that, it probably is for all i know anymore
    headaches, headaches

the climate change factor in the spring must have a high correlation in the amount of squeak and not sure why

one year update on door squeak... no noticeable squeaks! over the past spring and into middle of summer

sprayed some Nut-Z lube all over hinges and DCA sometime late last fall
it seems to have done the duty proper of squeak elimination

i recall a TW poster fairly recently going through the hassle to change out these DCAs with new ones so the door would stay open on an incline (or windy conditions) and not come back and close on them
... had asked for a demo and believe they failed to do so with any updates

might give these another drizzle dose of Nut-Z lube, since i have plenty now after taking advantage of a 2.99 sale on 2 big boys larger than this trial size

I just went down to the garage and opened the squeaky door to see what I could see (actually, to hear what I could hear).

No squeak. Just the exact same noise you described!

Yesterday, when the truck was parked in the sun, I opened the door and it squeaked louder than a freight train just before it completely stopped...

    I don't like the squeak!
