93B44713-1982-4834-AB61-3EF195038365.jpg Hello, I currently have the delta uca’s on my truck and they squeak really bad. All I know is that when it rains or I spray lube on them, it sometimes stops squeaking. I’ve heard I might have bad heim joints or the shocks need to be rebuilt. My shocks don’t look like they are leaking and I’ve soaked everything that moves with lube and I still can get the squeak to go away. Anybody have an idea of what it might be? Every little movement makes it squeak.

Do you still have your sway bar? Check to see if that is rubbing your CO. i recently go an alignment and they adjusted my caster and it began to rub.

I think all those joints should be serviceable and/or replaceable if thats in fact the culprit.

Playing devils advocate here - are you sure the UCAs are actually the issue? Also, it looks like you recently cranked a few more turns out of the coil overs. Did it make the noise before then? Looks like a lot of pre-load, but idk for sure about Icons

Yea it still made the squeak before I adjusted it, but I’m not sure if it’s the Uca’s, I just think it is

Doesn’t look like Delta joint to me or does the grease zero fit under that cap?

you have quite a few heims there (UCA, pivots, shock top and bottom, LCA?) all of which may be squeaking

Yea, there is a grease fitting under the cap, but I haven’t tried greasing the shock top.

The squeak sounds like it’s metal on metal.

If you are trying to isolate which pivot point is specifically generating the noise, you could soak one specific joint (both sides of truck) and test drive. Repeat, one more joint at a time until it stops. You did mention rain or lubing everything quiets it down (temporarily) right?

Yea, the rain will make it stop. But lubing it up won’t work anymore. So that’s why I’m not sure what it is.

I had a squeak for a long time with my icons
When I went to rebuild them one side had zero, nada, zip oil in it...not even a drop or greasy residue.

rebuilt them and it pretty much went away.
The only squeak I have now is I think the coils when they compress.
