    Hello,

I have a 2019 Tacoma TRD OR and wanted to post a thread to see if anybody had the same issue and has maybe resolved it.

So...I have a squeaky noise that come from my engine bay when I accelerate or hit the gas pedal while idling. It has happened once in the past but went away the next day.

I dont think it would be a belt issue since the truck only has about 18.5k miles but I am not to familiar with the Tacos.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I would have dealership look at it.
My guess would be a rogue squirrel.
Seriously, what ever it is, warranty will cover it.
Post update when you find out.
    Best regards

Thanks @ICU1. I was probably going to just take it there but I am just worried about the dreaded "cannot duplicate" comment.

@ICU1 I know that all too well from my brother's Titan diesel and the Nissan dealership here is terrible. The tranny would literally slam into gear and leak and they say that is normal. Luckily Toyota here is much better.

Take the belt off and try to replicate noise. If no noise, then belt or pulley/idler/tensioner is the problem probably.

I have the same thing. Might be the high pressure fuel pump. Intermittent. There is a. TSB for it but I was told it was not for my year. 2018 TRDORLB. Lame dealer. It did go away.

Probably the belt. I’ve replaced a few belts on these trucks with less than 20k miles for squeaking during start up and acceleration

I have a 2018 TRD Offroad with about 40K miles. Yesterday I took her for a little mud bath and now she is squealing pretty bad only on acceleration though. Any thoughts? Im thinking the belts just wet and needs some time to dry out.

    Thoughts?

    UPDATE:
Good news. Took it to the dealer and dropped it off Tuesday and when pulling in it started making the noise and the guy who checked me in said "yea, I can hear it now. Sounds like your drive/serpentine belt". He said they have had a couple other Tacomas with the same problem and they already had the parts and just fixed it. Have had the truck back for a couple of days now and seems to be doing well and I hope it stays that way.
