Mid skid is on as well. Needs some slight modifications though...

Surprised at how dry it looks.

Didn't they just get hammered with snow before that too?

A small handful of select mods.
Looks like they were going up mostly the side that faces south then as they got near the top hit the snow line.

It was actually fairly wet. Not muddy, but the trail was quite soft, we were all mentioning the lack of traction. And yeah, we hit snow at about 10K.

Anyways, headed to Moab this weekend to hit Lockhart Basin, Elephant Hill, and maybe a few other trails leading up to Rock Therapy. Not a clue what I'll be hitting the rest of the week. Only thing I want to do before hand is flush the power steering and clean the screen in the reservoir. Not going to be struggling to toss things together a day or two before hand like last year.

Just got back from 9 days in Moab, it was one hell of a trip.

    • Sat-Mon: Awesome exploitative adventure setup by James that included Hurrah Pass, Chicken Corners, Lockhart Basin, Elephant Hill, Bobby's Hole, and Beef Basin with various offshoots along the way. Absolute highlight of the trip.
    • Tue: Hell's Revenge and Fins & Things
    • Wed: 1/2 mile into Behind the Rocks, until James broke, than hit Strike Ravine with a navigational error landing us on Minor Threat as well.
    • Thur: Metal Masher
    • Fri: Posion Spider
    • Sat: Steel Bender
    • Sun: Wipe Out Hill to Seven Mile Rim backwards
I'm pretty beat, but the truck held up just fine. Used all my armor, besides that, only broke one valve stem, and the roto-pax bolt resulting in my rotopax getting involuntarily donated to the trail.

Than hit 245K on the drive home. :D

Holy crap, that's a lot of wheeling.

Great to hear the truck held up well. What's your thoughts on the suspension now?

'Home Alone' 'Young Brett' and 'Nickelodeon' are all still better than Gramps old man :p

Yeah, that was quite a lot of wheeling....

Very impressed with my rear setup, especially considering what I've got into it. Just need to get a set of bumps and I'll call it done for a bit. With that being said, while still better than the 5100s, the front was rather unimpressive, and was worlds behind the rear. It just felt bouncy and soft when trying to hit anything with some speed. Some 883s might help with higher speed stuff, but I would be worried it would hinder slower crawling where I need it to stuff. I think a good midtravel setup with good coilovers would be the best solution, but that won't be happening until next spring at the soonest.

Awesome. If you're sick of your truck I know one that could use a little Young Brett time. :)

I don't even have to update my own build anymore. Thanks for all the pics!

And for those that haven't seen, James has done a great job at detailing our adventures in Moab here.

The only "build" going on in those pics is destruction: attempted license plate removal and Rotopax delete :D

And they are all out of chronological order for some reason, the drag and drop likes chaos apearantly.

There was a partial tire rotation mixed in there somewhere. :p

Which reminds me, been working on the $2 garage sale high-lift. Think I've got the quirks worked out and for the time being it's working perfect.
