Thanks! Need to work on the swingout to get a couple scepter cans on it and a camp table. Then we'll see how my big ass bolt of a hinge holds up.

Are you replacing the Rotopax with the scepter cans? If so, why?

I lost the rotopax last year in Moab when the center bolt broke. Never buying them again. The 1/4 or 3/8 or whatever size the main bolt is not up to what I need.

come on now.... in the interest of fairness, don't you think that you should mention the fact that you had previously nearly ripped them off on the whale's tail and the rod was all kinds of bent up?

A gas can mount should always double as a rear departure angle skid, come on man, get with the program. :D

Thanks for the valuable info! Quite a bit to chew on still. I'd like to avoid Colfax if possible, so different wheels may be best.

I'd love to head north and wheel with you guys some time. Seems like a fun crew you have going up there.

I found this at LowRange Offroad. Not certain yet if it will fit the rear diff drain.

Thanks. If you saw it up close you might change your mind on the beautiful part though.

And who was suppose to be spotting me up that line?

Regardless, the rod was slightly bent, yes. But still, not a very large diameter bolt. With one pack I think it's sufficient, but when you double them up with the extension it's too much weight. Also keep in mind the section of bolt that bent was the outer part for the 2nd pack, and it broke off at the base on the first section of threaded rod.

When I get done with a proper gas can mount it will be.

Or I'll build it high enough that I should never hit it.

On the other side of that story, a narrower wheel has several advantages, especially off road. Just letting you know you could run into troubles trying to get them mounted. And we're wheeling all summer and come from all over the state. Keep up on the upcoming events thread when wheeling season hits.

Look the same as the All Pro one that @jberry813 told me he runs. I've got a brand new OEM one sitting in my glove box that I'll swap on the next time, and work on welding up around that ring as well. If I still have problems after that, I will probably pick up one of these allen head ones.

Snorkel is on the left, short piece of rubber was cut from the tube that comes with the snorkel. Far right is the stock elbow that connects to the airbox and was rotated upwards. The remaining tube is the stock hard plastic tube that was unbolted and cut shorter.

The elbow and tube are both bolted on and might still be there even with your CAI.

Thank you! Elbow and tube are still there, now I just need to get my hands on an airbox.

    Red adds horsepower right?

Powerstop calipers, Wheelers brake lines, Hawk LTS pads, and Centric premium rotors will be installed whenever I get around to doing all the front end work. Hopefully my mishmash of parts works well.

You haven't hung out with him enough yet ray. Brett will probably procrastinate until the weekend before his first wheeling trip of the year.

:gossip: There's more parts I'll be getting first.

Going to tear my entire front suspension apart and replace it all at once. Plus it's cold up here and I need access to a welder.

This is also true, but at the same time working on trucks is a lot more fun than school work, and I'm excited to get all the parts installed and be able to enjoy them.
