Last week, distracted driver rear ended me during the morning commute. Not too hard of a hit, and minor injuries were my wife's knee that got smacked by a coffee cup, and minor discomfort in my spine.

Destroyed left rear bumper and step, bent the union of the quarter panel and the tailgate hinge, but didn't break the taillight or dent the tailgate. There was a tiny paint chip on the top of the tailgate where the top of the bed/qp hit it.

On further inspection, the other driver's car must have also hit the back tire, because it put a big crack in the mudflap.

The rear suspension is now very squeaky, which was not the case before the accident. Squeaks during any minor suspension movement, even slight hand pressure.

So... I am going to ask for for inspection, chassis adjustment and alignment, new bumper, tailgate hinge, quarter panel, etc.

What sort of work would be needed to elimnate the squeak, if there was no actual damage? I'm guessing loosen, retorque, align... lube? Squeak mostly sounds like it is coming from the bushing on the front of the right side leaf spring (opposite side from the damage).

Take a look or have the shop take a look at the rear strut strut mount and leaf spring. something probably got knocked loose.
