    Hi everyone -
Put a new 2” old man emu lift on my truck a few months back and I’m noticing a little squeaking. Not sure if it’s somewhat normal or not. It bugs me lol. Took it back to the shop and had them check it but they said everything looked ok.
I bounced on the bed and it does squeak and I bounced on the bed of my dad’s 06 Ranger that he has as a beater truck and it didn’t make any squeaking. I’m just wondering if maybe the lift is shot, or the shop did something wrong, or if that’s just how it is. I’m planning on taking it back to the shop on an off day from work and show them what it does, but thought I’d get some other opinions first.
    Thanks!

You probably have some rust in between the leaf springs making noise. If you use these they won't squeak ever again. Only problem is that the springs will have to come off the truck and this product needs to be cut and fit between each spring. You'll need two of these, I did it on my tacoma and squeaks were gone.

Years of reviews on the OME include a majority of complaints about squeaks. So much so, that on the OME webpage, they have a disclaimer.
I didn't experience any squeaks until completing my last trip to the Ozarks. They squeak with any movement of the truck now. I sprayed them down with lithium grease, but it hasn't helped.
BUT, I knew they would prob squeak when I bought them, as I read hundreds of reviews.

Ah, bummer - I did read some reviews but didn’t see any about squeaks ‍♂️
It rides just fine and all that but I do notice the squeaks from the front and back. I’ll check out the stuff y’all mentioned though - maybe it’ll help some. Appreciate it y’all

Double check the width of your springs... mine were 2" and worked great for my leaf pack. If you go that route come back and tell us how quiet the springs are ;)

It might be something simple too - if your spare tire is slightly loose, it'll produce a squeak. Check to make sure it's tight and you may have solved the problem.

Lol yeah I do too but when I first got it installed it didn’t squeak at all but then started it outta nowhere. If it comes down to it, like there’s not an inexpensive fix, and nothing is being damaged, I’ll probably just live with it too

In the middle of each of the round isolator pads on the rear leaf springs there are small holes on the bottom. You can pump grease into the pads with a grease gun and needle greaser. Just did this on mine today to get rid of a squeak in the rear. I suggest pressure washing the leafs before hand if possible.

I’ve got a toytec add a leaf gradual pack. Which is like a mini leaf pack on your leaf pack. It’s a little extra squeaky. It makes me laugh sometimes. But it would be nice to have a little stealth in my movements.
