I was recently rear ended a few weeks ago and had to have my rear bumper and tailgate replaced. After the accident and before these were replaced, I started hearing squeaks that seemed to be maybe because my rear bumper was loose. However, after having these replaced by a body shop, i still hear the squeaking when going over very minor bumps, but I cant reproduce the sound by simply moving my truck bed up/down to move the suspension.

Anyone have any ideas? The squeaking is driving me crazy and I never heard it before the accident.

Could be possible the accident jarred something loose that was overlooked. Springs maybe?

Hard to say without hearing it, but could be the leaf springs. Honestly, take it back to the body shop. Sounds like sloppy work to me... they should fix it.

My 2018 rear springs squeak, I'm pretty sure it's the rear hanger bushings or leaf bushings on the passenger side. Just bounce in the bed and you should be able to reproduce it.

I've tried standing in the bed bouncing up/down as well as standing in the back seat with the door open trying to reproduce the sound, but no luck...

    stuff and things...
check your spare tire...when i put on a bigger spare it was rubbing something and would cause a squeaking noise when going over bumps. maybe the accident pushed something up against it...

Get 4-5 friends with you. Something closer the weight of the rear of the truck.
