    my 97 squeals at startup, but only for a short time....any ideas on the cause?

    Could be a worn belt or a loose belt tensioner.

    belts atr too tight
    loosen the one thats squeling and proublem fixed

    Check the belts for proper tension....

    Find a long length of belting that's open (no pulleys) -If you grab the edges with your thumb & finger, you should be able to twist them perpendicular to its original position.

    Whatever you do, don't spray anything on the belts or pulleys.

    Check the belts for wear, cracks, etc.

    I just got that fixed on my taco yesterday. Mine would squel really loud for like 2mins...it was cracks in my belts and From mud riding alot. Cost me 150$

    the alt belt was too tight.....i'll give an update if it recurs.
