I have narrowed it down to the exhaust. When i push up on this rubber hanger the noise stops. Now on to whether its the hanger or something else.

Try spraying the rubber hanger with some wd-40 and see if it quits.

Old thread but I have the same issue. Mine is exhaust related and at the same area. It is not the belt or an alternator even though it seems to happen when electrical things are turned on such as brake lights, headlights etc. Advance auto scan tool will tell you that it reads low voltage but it is normal for the 3rd gen 2.7 alternator which costs $500. That is a rabbit hole you want to avoid. It's the exhaust. Hope this helps someone in the future with this incredibly hard to find issue.

Hello I have a 2013 2.7 I4 red pick up I’m having the same issues at the moment I have 100,500 on the clock. But that sounds only kicks on for me when I’ve driven the car for a certain period of time it doesn’t make the noise when it’s first started only after around 15-20 mins of driving. It isn’t the belts or pulleys because when I check they’re quiet not a chirp from them. Could it be an exhaust related issue. The sound is from the passenger side of the car. Sounds close to the catalytic converter.
