We use cracked corn on a lid from a butter dish etc, and catch them every time in a box trap.

Interesting trap. May have to look into that, or just get some more cage traps, cage trap is working pretty well, just so many of them... I've caught close to 30 so far... maybe just more traps to increase efficiency

I have an old pumpmaster 760, still gets the job done.. looking into one with a scope though, that one seems to be a pretty could gun.

Also been thinking about a 22cal pellet gun. Never shot one, looks promising though.

I use 9.2 gr pellets and it will do a squirrel quite completely out to 50/60 yards. With light pellets it will go supersonic and have quite a "crack" when fired--but those bring squirrel range down to 50 feet or less...

If you dont have any other pets to worry about, put out a container with antifreeze in it. Its sweet so they might try drinking it and then itll go downhill from there

My grandfather had accidentally left out some of this in a pasture one time and it killed one of his cattle. Just came to mind when i read this. Id be waging war on those bastards too.

    Good luck

That would work, my wife (a wild bird feeding person) calls them the "assholes"--so "THIS SIDE TOWARD ASSHOLES" is pretty much the way we laid them out years ago..

As far as your attic goes, I would make sure there are no trees/branches touching your roof. I just cut down a good bit of bushes, and two large trees because of this same fear. Its been about 3 weeks and I have't seen the first squirrel on the roof.

Careful, even air rifles are illegal to shoot in some neighborhoods and can lead to fines.

I have a few of these little varmints going after my grapefruit, but since the tree is diseased and will be cut down soon anyway, I just watch their fuzzy antics. But my 3-4 isn't anything like 20+ of the little heathens. Anybody have a good squirrel recipe? I'd hate for all that meat to go to waste...

My dad just picked up a .22 air rifle, that would probably do the trick, I can't imagine an air rifle would be very loud.
