They have a pro for 40k?! Killer deal. Also getting more than what you paid for yours is killer.
Now reasons for getting pro should be:
    Better styling (wheels)
Better lights (leds are worlds better than the halogens)
More features such as jbl etc
    Better ride quality

Reasons not to get the pro
    fog lights are useless
the 360’cam is shit … 4 pixels per side.
Forward facing works but just barely.
    Shock maintenance every 50k

I love my SR, but am considering trading it in as well. At first, I used to get some envy towards the TRD owners, just having some fancier stuff. After some time really driving it and getting comfortable, I really like the simplicity of my truck and would really like to keep it forever, but my partner and I need to have at least one car with 4 doors and she’ll likely be selling her sedan this year and driving an old single cab F100 with no payment for a while so that she can clear up some financial burdens.

My access cab has the rear jump seats but they really are uncomfortable for any more than a 20 minute drive. I wouldn’t mind owning another SR, but the cost difference is pretty minimal between a used TRD Sport and a used SR once you get a V6, 4x4, and double cab so why not just go for the TRD?

Regarding your situation, there are plenty of things that you can do to give your SR more creature comforts, although a Pro will have significantly better resale value over your SR and there are a LOT of additional features in favor of the Pro, but how many do you actually need?

Btw, critical question - color of your SR vs color of the Pro? How was this left out in OP ;)

Life is short....if you can afford the Pro and that's what you want, I'd say go for it.

I say get the Pro and pay it off as quickly as possible. I just paid off my 2023 Pro. Not paying interest/having a payment is a great feeling. You only live once get what you want!

I paid cash for my 2023 SR, paid cash for the upgrades I did to it.

It is a nice feeling to not have a note every month, and the worry of the bank coming after your truck if ya have a life changing event disrupt your finances.

Same here. I use mine for work so my company pays for fuel, tolls, and a monthly allowance on top of that. I already have over 12K miles in 6 months but love the fact I dont have a payment and 4wd for when I need it at the farm.

just a couple of things tbh
tbh thats not a bad price but here is the thing how many miles are on both vehicles? cant just say its low miles and say 40k is good.... we could be looking at a truck with 50k miles and think its low miles for 40k..

now the 32k offer for your truck is pretty damn good. its a base model so not worth much more and if anyone paid more then that for a sr well sucks to suck you paid a lot more for nothing..

if the miles on the pro are around 20k ish id say go for it if you can afford it.

In my opinion, it's 8k more but you aren't losing the 8k, just parking it because the pro will sell for much more than an SR when that time comes. I'm not a financial advisor but i have a degree in finance and am fairly literate. From a financial standpoint, if you can swing it without over extending yourself, it's not a bad investment because of the higher resale. If it were me, I'd get the pro, but your financial situation is a factor here.

Ive had 87 and 89 pickups with AC as the only option. I like the creature comforts in my 2017 w/ tech package, and still am liking that I don't have all of the nanny features of the 21+ trrucks.

Did the fog install on my 23 SR, which was not pre-wired. Was easy to do, used all OEM components (other than the lights themselves) including the fog lamp button. Couldn't be happier. Got a FitCam X plug and play forward camera, took 5 minutes to install and works great, and was inexpensive. Maybe do those 2 things and live without the BSM?

Spotter Mirror mirrors were a cheap and awesome upgrade too.

Also, I have a Detroit True Trac in the rear. ;) I'll take that over an e-locker.

The vanity mirror swap is super easy. I paid $150 shipped for a mint pair of used visors, bought the $40 harness from the TW member who makes it, and installed in about 20 minutes. :)

okay? that really doesnt state how many miles are on the truck minus it has 10k more then your current truck? either way as others have stated the resale on a pro is a lot better then the sr so as its been said if you can swing it then go for the pro.

I would do it, honestly. I have a TRD Sport, and I absolutely LOVE the 360 cameras and BSM and Cross path detection. Saved my bacon several times when I backed out of parking spaces. Back in is not always an option. Having cameras and sensors in daily use as a daily driver/weekend farm truck far outweighs not having a locker.

You mentioned an employee discount, I assume that you are allowed to sell your truck already? I had to agreed not to sell my truck for a year, when I bought it with the TEMNA form.

One of my friends gave me a metal wall hanging in the shape of a large guitar pick, with the words "Life is short... buy the tickets" laser cut in. I kind of feel this applies to your decision as well. Of course, you have to factor in whatever the taxes on this purchase are into the math, but for ~8k and more return on your SR than you originally paid for it... seems like a justifiable investment. I assume the pro has the LED headlights - that is a pretty big upgrade as well. Maybe that can be added to the pro list for wife convincing, you know safety and all. Go Pro (wish I had one!)
