I'm not a higher ranked manager, but my work does that some for those that are. They get a monthly stipend as long as the vehicle meets their criteria. Depending on yearly mileage it can be a good thing or ya get raped in taxes at the end of the year.

In my opinion, and mine only....buying a vehicle as an investment is BS.....unless it's a high end super-car or classic hot-rod.

The FITCAMX has been great - was my first mod, I put a second cheap dash am in the grille to Bluetooth to another old phone I had and mounted in my tray.

For the fog lamp conversion did you get the terminal from the dealership?

Investment might have been the wrong word.

a pro will hold its resale value at a higher price than a sr.

I've found that if you go ahead and buy what you want, you'll end up being satisfied with the purchase. I had a 2020 SR5 that was a great truck but even when I bought it I knew that I wanted a TRD OR. Two years later I have a TRD OR.

Exactly what I was going to say. As long as the trade-in isn't going to put you into a financial bind, why the heck not.

The PRO still feels every bit as economical and agricultural as an SR if that's what you're into. It just has a few more features that brings it into the decade...and mind you features that aren't exactly highly complex or expensive. Welcome to the 2020's with automatic climate control and functional headlights.

Now if you've got other financial responsibilities you should be tending to, stick with your current truck. It's a great truck and sounds like you got a decent deal on it.

    Most of the time yes.
I was at the local dealership a month or so back. For poos and giggles I ask what kind of a deal would they give me on a 2024 OR with the tech and premium package.
Their 1st offer out of the gate on trade in, was more than what I paid new for my Pro 4 years ago.

While they are quite similar, there are countless little and big things that make the pro quite a bit nicer than the SR.

I've been driving my 2017 SR with a gutless 2.7 and old clanky 5 spd manual shift...I love it. I get by fine.

I think that tells you the market for the 3rd gen is strong due to the fact that Toyota screwed- the-pooch on the 4th gen with a 4 cylinder only. The market don't want that. They've lowered themselves to Ford / Chevy status.

I've seen a shit-ton just sitting on the lot, where this time last year nobody had any 3rd gens sitting, as soon as they arrived they were sold within a few days if they weren't already spoken for already.

I could probably profit on my truck I bought last March, maybe buy a Nissan Frontier....nah. I'll keep what I have.

Used 2023 pro's in my area are pulling close to 50k still. If you want it but it it's not a bad deal at 40k and just buy an extended warranty if you want to cover all the extra crap that can break.

I don't get the horny fascination with fog lights. I have had them on a few vehicles and the current Taco. Hardly ever use them. And even when I do wasn't necessary. Waste of money in my opinion. Many people drive with them on all the time. They think it makes them look "cool". It doesn't.

So your willing to pay 8 thousand dollars for the above options.

P.S. I installed my own anytime front camera on my Off Road taco.
