Forgive me laughing, but your a Forensic Examiner and you didn't do your due diligence???

All kidding aside, you still own a Legit awesome truck, with or without the TRD stuff. Just so you are aware the TRD Sport does not come with the rear locker.

I wish my wife had a smaller rear, but that's a subject for another day...

There's an aftermarket solution for that, too.

Are we talking about the suction tool to get gear oil out?

Honestly, skip the OEM locker and install onboard air and go with an air locker instead. They're proven over time and a reputable 4x4 shop in your area can install it for you. Good lookin' truck and good on you for not letting the bastards get you down.

As Tony discusses, there are quite a few different locker solutions...

Before you think too much on locker, you need to decide if regearing (and new tire sizes) will be in your future...

Here is an example locker install that included just swapping in entire rear axle (to also change gearing as well as get locker, per my memory) https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/factory-locker-install-on-16-sport.692802/

Fellow Okie, nice looking truck. Was it a local dealer who sold you the truck? Reason I ask is I had a bad service experience getting my wheels installed. Wondering if it’s same place.

Make that truck your own! I almost got away with a 2019 TRD pro for 31k because the dealer listed it as an SR. They caught on before I could seal the deal and wanted 46k. Bought a new 22 Off road instead. Good luck with the build!

I don’t know what the forum moderators think but if it’s not against the rules I’d list the name of the dealer so others can avoid such a crooked dealership.

    Nice Midnight Black Tacoma!

That's too bad about the Dealership interaction. If anything, you're that much wiser if you ever go that route again.

Your Raptor Lights need to be fitted next to each other as opposed to separated...I think it looks better that way! (Wait, you're taking them off!) lol

The smoked Ambers aren't too noticeable during the daytime.

You're looking for the "Skewp" and I hope you find it. I think your truck looks great already...but the upgrades you plan will make it look better.

Welcome and enjoy your way around here!

Good looking truck brother. Best of luck with the mods. No judgement here. :)

TSS Tacomas are popular here in TX. TSS Tundras even more.
Unfortunately the name "TSS OffRoad" is kind of mis-leading, many of these are just 2WD SRs.
However, they do look good. If you feel like you overpaid, just take it as a life lesson.
Meanwhile, you have a pretty cool truck, and you can have fun upgrading it to your liking. So enjoy!

How did you do the vanity mirrors with lighting? I want to do the same to my 2022 SR Tacoma.

I would like a set of the trd pro anodized upper control arms for my SR. I’m thinking there must be some pro owners that have taken them off when they did a suspension upgrade and maybe no longer has a use for them?
