I have not spoken to dealer yet, just reading offer online from Toyota.com when I enter my zip code 08242. Of the $2999 due at signing, $2744 is down payment, $255 is first month, and $0 is security deposit. Net capitalized cost of $34,663, and a lease end purchase price amount of $29,177. I can’t answer any of your other questions from just the lease advertisement. I understand it would be better to buy now, rather than lease and then buy at end of lease. I would prefer to buy an access cab vs. DC, and there currently isn’t much inventory for me even to choose from and test drive for what I want in $30-$33k range. Anything in this price range goes quick off the lots, or are in white or black colors, which I don’t want. This lease gets me low payment, and nice upgrades vs. access cabs in my price range to own. Five foot bed only negative, and of course it would probably be a 36 to 42 month rental.

Plus sales tax, registration, and EOL fees (if any).
Not sure but in NJ you might have to pay the entire amount of the sales tax up front?

You might have trouble finding a dealership that will honor the Toyota lease offer in these times. When the dealership knows they can sell any truck for MSRP or more they don’t have any incentive to lease it for less profit. The dealership is not obligated to participate. I leased my 2021 back on 1/3/2021, I had a hell of a time finding a dealership willing to honor the Toyota lease incentives. Out of ~9 dealerships in AZ that had the right inventory, I found 1 willing to deal, and they were 4 hours away. Confirm the deal with your local dealer before going too far down the path.

    This ^^^^
Advertised "lease specials" are notorious for small print gotcha's.

This is why I like this lease. Seems like good deal in these times, as who knows how much this truck will cost new in 2023-2024. I am driving 2011 F150 that may be worth much more now, than in a couple years, plus I may have to put money into it for minor stuff to keep driving it. I was at dealer on Friday to test drive a 4x2 DC in silver with sticker at about 30k, but it was sold night before. This dealer is not selling at market adjusted prices, but maybe bidding war if 2 customers are interested. The sales person did ask me if I was interested in leasing, but at time I did not know about this lease deal, and knew I didn’t want to buy the 5 foot bed at close to 38K.
