I'm ready to pull the trigger on a new SR5 DCLB. Trouble is I can't find one to test drive. Went to the dealer today to drive an Access cab long bed in an off road package. My Wife thought the truck road harsh and the seats were not to comfortable? I was fine with the ride off the truck?? Problem is my wife likes the ride of the new F150 Crew cab {different animal} For those of you that have the SR5 DCLB, do they ride better than the off road version. I can get this truck for $32483 plus Pa tax and tags. Input appreciated!

My truck rides pretty good, even with E rated tires. I have no comparison to offer in regards to the OR model.

FWIW the Sport is supposed to have stiffer shocks than the Off Road version. The latter is due to the fact the OR version is expected to be running over rougher roads and softer shocks helps to reduce the bumps. I found the ride quite acceptable in the Sport when I did my test drive. Maybe your wife just prefers the F150. It too rides very nice. I test drove the F150 Crew Cab before settling on the Tacoma. It is a very nice truck. I just preferred the Tacoma. I did not have my wife with me when I drove the Ford.

My Sport was delivered with 40psi in the tires. I've dropped it to 32 and the ride improved a great deal. Might check that out before you test drive something, although you wouldn't think you would have to do that yourself.

Same here - stock tires on the TRD sport I have had higher pressure in them at like 37psi. When I put my new tires and wheels on the shop I had mount them put 31psi in them and the ride is completely different. Also got new Nitto Tera Grappler tires too ... changes the ride for sure. Mess with the pressure and dial in the way you like for road driving.

I find that with 31psi the tires are a little more bouncy as is the ride around town driving. I'm going to up the pressure a few psi to see if that helps with the bounce, or just get used to it..
