Hehe, the passenger visor was an OPTIONAL piece of equipment? That's funny.
I have a sliding rear window, NO tint until I did it, a tach, non tilt wheel, no clock, basic cd player, no cruise, no power anything (including under the hood)
and chrome bumpers. But chrome bumpers I thought have been standard since the 50's.

I had a '98 base model that at least had intermittent wipers. I was going to swap stalks but turns out they changed them between the '98 and 2000 (maybe it's an '01) models so I couldn't. It wasn't an SR5, I'm still guessing the only parts of the package are the badges. After that it's a crap shoot.

Ye gods, my head hurts now! I thought figuring out what options Jeeps got with what package was a pain...................

I think the passenger visor was standard...but an SR5 got a padded visor with a pocket. The base truck got a sheet of cardboard wrapped in vinyl.

You'd be amazed how many base-model trucks didn't get chrome bumpers. I recall the base work-truck Ford, Dodge, and GM trucks didn't get them as far back as the late 80's, and I think they STILL don't get chrome bumpers in a few cases. Base Econoline vans had bumpers painted medium gray. My Dak has no chrome at all...it's a Sport, which means dark bumpers & body-color grille. (Personally, I do not like chrome.)

OK, question: does anyone here have a Taco with cruise control, that is NOT an SR5?

I have a 2004 SR5 4X4 2.7. It has both sun visors. No Cruise. A CD Player. Chrome surround grille. No power windows. A/C which I assume is standard on everything these days. Sliding rear window. It's got a clock, tilt wheel, cassette and CD player. I got it from my dad and he wanted the most stripped version they could possibly make. That's what he got and that's why I love it and here it is.20141214_170649.jpg

The ONE thing I wish it did have is cruise but I can live without it.

What about carpet/cloth seats? Was this an SR5 option? Or did all come that way?
    my 96
AC, cloth bench seat, carpet, padded visors (no pocket), tilt steering, chrome trim on everything, windshield, bumpers and fender "street"flairs. Cassette player, Tach, speedo, gas and temp gauge only, intermittent wipers, hard plastic arm rest on the doors but cloth padded door panels with pockets, tinted windows, rear slider, snazzy stripe down the side.

    No
Clock, cruise, or power anything. I have lots of blanked out spaces on the dash.
No light in the glovebox either, never even had an option for it that I can tell.

It seems like the SR5 package does change from year to year. For what it's worth, I bought an 02 SR5 TRD xtracab last night and the original window sticker was still in the glove compartment. Here's a screenshot that shows exactly what the sticker says the SR5 package is:

Of note is that cruise control is its own option.
