Wanting to fabricate my own off-road bumper but I don't know what kind of metals I will need, with that being said, I don't know if it would be cheaper to build my own or have someone fabricate it for me. Wanting it to look sharp.

Custom front bumper and rock sliders, glasspack muffler, shorten exhuast, abs killswitch, roof light bar, rear e locker.
it can be as simple as you want or as complex as you want. square is stronger size for size compared to round. weight for weight round is stronger than square. square is cheaper and easier to come by.

a welder or fabricator could charge you 70 dollars min. for labor so building your own you will only lose out on material. i built my own bumper, but for my version 2 of my bumper imma be going plate with hoops and the whole 9, so imma be buying the diy kits because plate is expensive of that thickness.

have confidence and try building your own, but draw it out on paper and do your measurements first. figure out how much material you'll need and how many points will need to have gussets(triangles) to make your bumper strong. i rebuilt version 1 of my bumper to learn that proper geometry and reinforcing really helps.

remember the triangle. strongest shape. connected at three points, in order for one side lengthen, another side must lengthen or shorten, thus making it so strong. if you really want a strong bumper build it using egg shape tube. expensive as heck but keep in mind
how hard it is to crush a hard boiled egg by squeezing it.
