Wanted to add led drl's but don't want to spring for TRD PRO high dollar ones. Would Limited one be a direct fit/plug-n-play? Just wondering, thought I saw a post about it but can't find it now. If possible, would anyone have some pics of plug used?

No BRO-ness to speak of... Well, except Kbro2's
Yes. Limited, Sport and OR are all direct replacements for yours. All have the LED DRL.

*edit* i should have known better than to reply to an electrical question. As @ZachMX below reports, they are NOT plug-n-play replacements. You'll have to do some of this to the wiring harness. :sawzall: My apologies.

Incorrect. The SR5's are not wired for the LED DRLs on the TRDs, Limited and Pro. You can swap but the LED DRL won't be plug and play.

Why buy a low-end model and then try to "upgrade"..? It's gonna bite you in the ass sooner or later..
Toyota does not waste $ on wiring all the trucks to handle ALL the options.. that would not make any sense... right..??
    Think about it man.. !!
Those head lights with DRL's are gonna kill your bank account... use it somewhere else is my advice..!
Buy the wifey a nice "peek-a-boo" nighty or something that will pay off...
    Good luck man...

Agreed, by the time you buy the lights $1000, figure out how to wire them another $100-300 you could have bought a lift, tires and wheels, etc. just to have a silly little led strip...but to each their own.

That's what I thought, did not see any additional wire plugs that were taped up in the headlight area...there goes that mod I guess. Don't want to add any more wires just for that, can live without the DRL led's. :(

Even after the headlamp swap, you will still have crappy halogen bulbs. I suggest that you spend money on a good LED or HID bulb upgrade instead.

So no one has done this yet? I think the LED DRL's look good but not $1000 worth of good.

I thought I saw the Pro Headlights for around 2k for a set? If mod is possible, would prolly go with the ltd set for less than half of that maybe even less.

I bought some for my SR. Still haven't hooked them up yet but my plan was to just run a trigger wire to a relay then to the led DRL. Seems pretty straight forward really. i found my headlights in a wrecked tacoma off of ebay for 200 bucks lol

Ok so I looked and looked...NO JOY!!! Our SR5 is NOT wired for LED's. Have seen on other posts a while back where some have seen a pair of white plugs on each side behind headlights but not sure of what models have them.

Not wired for LEDS..??? no big deal. You have a factory DRL wire 4inches over!!
Tap the led bar off the inside Turn signal. SR's have An extra wire to provide the amber DRL.
I actually had to do the OPPOSITE. I have OEM outside white DRL, but wanted my inside amber "2nd gen style" on all the time. So I wired it the opposite <---

Edit. just rememebed the OEM TRD LED's are 2 wire (dim & bright). So you'd have to tap 1 wire off the turn signal DRL (day-bright) and the other off headlight +12(dim-night)

Can that tap support the LED pull or whatever? (not an electrician by any means)
