Hey Everyone. Recently purchased a 2019 SR5 quicksand and very new to TW. I’m struggling hard trying to figure out what I want to do to it.. I really want to lift it a bit with new tires and wheels but I honestly don’t know where to start. It seems no matter what brand / type I think about, there’s +/- to all of them.. (hopefully I’m wrong).

if anyone could post a pic along with detailed setup info that would help me out a ton with figuring out what to do. I really don’t have a price range (sorta) as I know that you get what you pay for and I want good quality while maintaining a good ride while also looking good.

Anything you can provide as advice is much appreciated and I can’t wait to start doing stuff to my SR5! (Very nervous to start though)

I would wear those tires out. Then it depends on how much money you have to spend (or your credit limit). I Wouldn't go more than a 2" lift and 33" tires, but that's just me. There are lots of pics of trucks here, look around. If you see something you like and you can afford it, go for it. I like that color with the blacked out grill and bumper. I would get some black door handles.

Thanks and good point! Need to keep digging until I find something I like. Nothing too crazy but definitely something. I’ll get the nerve to pull the trigger eventually! Really like the BFG KO2s in 265/75/16

I'm kinda eyeing them Yokohama Geolanders. I'm running KO/2's now

One thing I’ve learned. Do lots of research. You’ll see tons of trucks and you’ll quickly learn what you like and don’t like. Your style may even change as time passes. Really make sure you know what you want before you spend the money and always triple check any deals. There’s always some sale going on somewhere.

    KO2’s have poor wet traction.

What do you want to use your truck for? Do you want to build for looks or for function? How long will you keep your truck?

It’s really mostly highway driving for now until I find some places to go off-road/build up the confidence to do so. But even when I do, it won’t be anything crazy so mostly just for looks while trying not to ruin the truck if that makes sense.

I plan on keeping it for a long time and I think that’s why I’m struggling. I want to make it look good but at the same time I don’t want to do something small and then a year down the line want to do more and have to replace what I did the year before.

just a lot of second guessing as to what I want to pull the trigger on. I was also just thinking of doing wheels/tires for now in a 265/75/16 and not touch the stock suspension.. I’m honestly afraid on putting any sort of lift on it and having it ruin the truck. I get the saying you get what you pay for but with me, I’m trying to find the middle ground between shitty and amazing because I really don’t need amazing given I’m not going and doing crazy off-road excursions. I also don’t want a shitty lift just for looks and ruin the drive of the truck.

hopefully that all made some sense?

I saw the pic of your truck. Is it an SR5 too? What are you running?

Whoops, trying to figure out how to use this site lol. Just realized I wasn’t actually responding to you. What are you running on yours? I looked at your pic and that pretty much what I want mine to look like. Thanks!

Yes it’s a SR5. Stock except for 235/85-16 Falken Wildpeaks. I like the taller tire for clearance and snow traction. Also added RCI front skid plate.

I'm in the same boat trying to figure out what I'm going to do but out of all the tires I've seen, the geolanders by far look the best to me.

I’ll have to look into those. I just don’t want any rubbing on stock suspension for the time being until I do more research on what lift I want to do..
