Got my 2019 SR5 exactly three years ago. Yesterday I took it to get leather installed!

One thing I always disliked in the truck was the light grey cloth.

For the leather I have always wanted some type of brown or red to go with the quicksand paint job. Went with the Katzkin cognac color. I know not everyone's cup of tea but I like it. Second choice would be black but I'm already paying so might as well go with what I really wanted. Price was $1250 otd installed and everything. That includes the extra door panels, dash, and center arm rest. I am located in SoCal so I skipped on the heaters.

Nice. I’ve been considering getting Katzkin leather installed. Now that I see they can do the door panels, I’m all in. I hate the weird, pebbled, rubbery door panels. They are effing impossible to clean dog drool off of. You think they are clean until the light hits them and you see the streaking. So, I’ve been using those stupid door protectors that you stuff into the window channel.

You got a really great price on that job. Especially considering it included the door panels. My installer in DFW didn't really want to fool with those as said it was a lot of effort to separate those to replace the vinyl with leather. If I recall correctly, they wanted like $150/door panel. Post whatever the name, location of your installer and anyone near there considering Katzkin should run to get their truck done!

Surprisingly the quote for the seats was $1150. I asked for the door panels and dash and he said $1250. I didn't ask for the center console but he did it.

I wonder what else could be done around the cab to tie this color in? Looking at something like a Lariat there is usually a wood grain and some of that color from the leather in the dash too. What if everything in silver was replaced with wood grain and chrome accents were present. Like in the vents and such. I think yours already has that.

I started by calling the Katzkin California office. Got to what I wanted and price quote. Decided against it. Checked with a local friend who updates, customizes vehicles and sells them even internationally - his focus now is on finding low mileage Hummers, updating them. He uses an outfit in Arlington, Tx. so I called them and got a price that was several hundred less than Katzkin directly. But, you did another 300-400 better and, got your door panels done. Excellent deal!

Looks great. My 2020 sr5 came with black cloth seats with the burn't orange pin striping which looked better than my cloth gray tundra seats. The rest of your trucks interior looks similar.
