    Good Morning All

This has probably been discussed before but here goes anyway
    Gas Mileage : SR 5 19 to 24.
    TRD OR. 19 to 23
    Why the difference ?

It appears the towing capacity of the SR5 and the TRD OR are the same
    Is this correct ?

    Thanks all for your help
Just trying to decide between the two
Towing a 1100# TAG Teardrop trailer with no trailer brakes
Presently coming from a 2015 Tundra , getting older (76) and downsizing

Again , thanks for your help

My WAG is tire size or a touch more weight on the MPG

If driveline is same, towing should be too.

MPG will take a hit towing, so the unladen rating would be insignificant

only thing i can speculate is the gross vehicle weight, sr5 is probably lighter than the trd or with all other things being equal

To me, it's the rear locker (and other traction features) on the OR. From time to time, I need it. If you don't, go with an SR5.

19 in the city with my SR5. I probably going to trade the truck in anyways, I keep having issues with the key not being recognized, dealer could not replicate. I'm eyeing a trail teams FJ.

Truck opens up with the fob, but sometimes it does not recognize the key is with me while sitting on the driver's seat. I was stuck at work for 20 minutes trying to start the truck not too long ago.
Show's the key fob icon on the digital cluster with the message "key not detected". I tried with both keys and it does the same. I have 1700 miles so far and it's happed about 6 times so far.

If the TRD OR has higher ground clearance than the SR5, there will also be additional air turbulence below the vehicle increasing drag, particularly at highway speeds.

(Not sure, unable to verify if the ground clearances are different w/ some quick googleing)
