get the trim you like and test drive them. I just got the pro a few days ago and had no real intentions to get it and was getting the off road but glad i did. i really like it. I got a AT and i much prefer it over MT. All are great trucks get the one you like.

According to his post we either don’t count, don’t exist or no limited owner has regrets! (Until the pro came out for some lol)

    No regrets here.

    Not trying to knit pick...

If you buy a vehicle at 32,500 like I did... And you add in $750 college grad bonus... At 0% you better be signing a deal with a price of vehicle of 31,750 + tax tags and title. How are you paying more at 0% interest?

Just doesn’t make sense. Sure if you pay MSRP or higher at 0% you might have an argument, but you are still paying zero interest. Interest at 32,500 will be quite obvious when signing the contract depending on APR.

Please explain if you don’t mind.

Get an SR if you have no money. Get and SR5 if you want to convince everyone you bought it so that you could have all this imaginary extra money to spend on mods. Get an off road if you care about what others think of your truck on this website. Get a sport if you care about what others think on the road. Get a PRO if you have way too much money burning a hole in your pocket. Get a limited if you're 50+.

FYI I have a sport 4x4 and I love it. I love the fact that I paid the same as an off road and didn't get a rear locker or retard mode. Yes, I don't Off road a whole lot. Yes, I care about looks. Yes, I do truck things with my truck. Yes, I would buy it again.

    Let the hatred begin

Ps. The Off road ain't all that bad, and if I Off roaded more I definitely would have gotten that trim with a manual trans.
    Cheers.

Limited isn’t a mid life crisis car sir, that’s what a vette is for lol. I’m no where close to 50 but wanted the luxury I’m used to in my Infiniti’s, lexus etc...it’s my daily and I don’t go off-roading plus it was near impossible trying to find a sport with BOTH tech and premium in cement with black leather without $5k in extra add ons I didn’t care for. The limited is fully loaded out the lot.

As a just out of college and you have a reliable daily driver, I'd save for a downpayment on property or invest in something that will maintain or even appreciate in value. If you really really have to have a Taco (I get it)...go cheap, used and basic...wait until you have saved up for it...a good lesson in life for any car/truck. If you look at my build thread, EVERYTHING in it (including the truck) was paid for from dedicated savings, after expenses, after budget for retirement, after budget for my kids college education, after rainy day fund...my 2+ cents. Good luck in life!

I agree. I wanted to add that corollas and rav4s have 0% apr at times (most of the time) and it doesn’t affect price negotiations, why, there is more volume being sold so they make thier money selling more at a smaller margin. The Tacoma sells itself so 0% is a rarity. Demand is higher than supply with the Tacoma..and they know it! Plus toyota in general makes thier money offering crazy incentives and concessions on some lines because they make up for it on others!

You may be the anamoly but Toyota internal documents say otherwise

As was previously stated by @strktly_bodysurf in this thread, Limited average age is the highest of the demographic

    Nothing wrong with that

    Just a fact

I'm Paying the system the right way. I won't speak to the value I get back...I do feel freedom isn't free even if I disagree with the redistribution.

Don't wait to save up until you buy cash. If you want to land a nice wife with a decent income, you need to at least look like you aren't some frugal deadbeat who is self-centered enough to not splurge on yourself, let alone on someone else.

Buy an SR though. It's all you need.

I bought an SR, and I can't think of anything I needed that it doesn't come with or wasn't an easy add (like heated leather seats).

Congrats on graduating and lining up a job! Full disclosure, I run a financial planning company and manage over $300 million. I’m also not “too far” removed from college. (33). I started my life with no truck payment, no student loans, and split a cheap apartment in the ghetto. Why? To push away money. I grew up poor and didn’t want to set myself up for that in the future.
That being said, you can justify anything here as much as you want. “You only live once”, “be smart, you’re young”.
    What would I do
Option 1. Keep what you have assuming you have a vehicle. More money pushed away for longer equals greater amount in the end.
Op 2. Buy an OLD used taco and enjoy modding it here and there to feed the itch but not burn money.
Option 3. Go cheap with an SR 4x4. Those things have been beaten and abused and no real need for anything else.
Option 4. Go all out. But, it’s a slippery slope.

Note: the first thing to do is establish the purpose of college and a career. To enjoy life while living it and retire in style and comfort. Don’t forsake either without concern for the other. Therefore identify your retirement goals, ensure you can stay on track for them, then that defines your budget for your truck.

    Good luck and God bless.

Likely because older folks aren’t into modding, off-roading and have the funds in general? It just works out that way perhaps. Not doubting that you are correct, just saying. If you’re younger than 50, but have the funds, want the luxury and aren’t into off-roading, then it’s the trim for you. Everything else being the same (funds and tad bit of luxury), and want to go off-roading then you would just add 4x4 to it or go TRD PRO

17 DCSB OR nothing added except tow package. I got it as a left over stock this January, radio is fine with me and i dont care about a sunroof. I live in New england however and I would do un speakable things for dem heated seats and leather....

Looking at my aftermarket options for those after i'm done with the externals of the truck.
