    Hey guys,

Does anyone have any experience removing the 2021 SR5 Trail Edition Grille?

I have been following videos on how to remove the grills from new Tacoma's and I've removed the two bolts, the 6 weird fasteners (2 up top, 4 on the bottom) and the nipple for the TSS sensor and no matter how much I pull it seems like it's still attached somewhere (and believe me i'm yanking this thing harder than Ron Jeremy).

It feels like it may be attached at the sides by the headlights but I'm not certain.

Gotta give it a big yank the first time you remove it. I've removing my grille like 20 times so it falls off once the bolts are undone. Also, make sure you lift up on the grille housing mounts before you start pulling back, it might be stuck on this (circled in picture)

there's two bolts and 2 clips that you need to remove the grill assembly, you also need to unplug and unclip the TSS harness. you just need to pull towards you and the whole grille assembly will come out. As for the grill on that style you need to remove a bunch of Philips screws all on the back side of the grille and releasing the clips all around the grille once you take all the screws out.

    Thanks guys,

Got the grill off with your help - was definitely stiff as hell. And wow there were like a trillion screws and clips

Honestly I think that’s one of the best looking grilles Toyota has come up with for the taco.

I'm curious what you replaced it with. I'm looking at doing the same thing.
