Get the SR5 best bang for your buck plus u got some room to mod how u like it with the extra cash saved ;)

    mine came with
    -Tow package
    -appearance package
    -Tonneau Cover
    -Bed LEDs
    -Side steps
-and the cool looking Sporty red interior

i also switched out the SR5 Grille for an OR...i am actually a fan of the OR grille o_O

    Kinda got a Sport/OR look going ;) :p I love it!

I'd look at the Offroad or the SR5. The locker and extras might be worth a little extra, but an aftermarket locker would be a cheaper option to the OR... I probably wouldn't be interested in the Sport though.... not much extra I really need or want in that package.... if it came with the TSS wheels... then maybe.

For me, I got all I actually wanted with the SR5 short of a locker and tires.

I still need to take some good pics of mine and post, just got it this week. Love my SR5 4x4 with bigger tires and wheels. Got my ceramic tint yesterday. This truck is much more fun to drive than ford. Doesn't feel like damn school bus! My stereo is fine, no need for upgrade for me. Of course my priorities are different now that I have kid and pushing late 30's.

Huh. I got my TRD Sport 4x4 DCSB for a bit less than what the OP was quoting SR5's at, and my Sport also came with the tow package, exhaust tip, Predator tube steps, hood decal, factory tonneau cover, all-weather floor mats, and some other stuff I probably can't think of off the top of my head (all that crap was already on the truck, and I didn't add any of it. Only thing I said was a must have was the tow package). It was slim pickings when I bought my truck back in October, and didn't want to wait, but still think I got a decent deal. I have the regular Entune system and didn't spring for the JBL and Premium tech package.

All I've added since are some BFG KO2's, camper shell, window visors and Clazzio seat covers and an bed mat. Seems to be handling the mild "off-road" stuff I've thrown at it (I don't off-road just to off-road though, just to get back to campsites, trailheads, etc) and I'm more than confident it would be way more than adequate at any harsher off-roading if I decided to, but really have no desire to.

Just imagine the deal you could have gotten on an SR5. When I was on the dealer lot in Florida , I began talking to a guy from Jersey buying a Sport to take home because the deals from southeast toyota compared to his regional toyota were different. I looked that up on the toyota website and it seemed like different incentives exist around regions of the country .

I like my SR5 so much, I lie and say I paid more than I actually did. That's what you do if you really love her.

Not sure what you're trying to say, I'm just relating my experience. $35k for an SR5 seems ridiculous.

I originally thought it was a great idea to get a truck with an outlet. Then i realized i can get a pure sine wave inverter with more wattage and an extra outlet.

Ya. I agree on the 35k. I usually enjoy bragging about the discount I negotiate. At the time of purchase, I originally thought my SR5 was 32k on the sticker price. So I thought I got an awesome deal at just under 29k. Later I realized my truck was only just over 30k. When I realized I was exaggerating my discount, I just started saying that I paid the 32k and my non Tacoma driving friends haven't a clue. They just think it looks fun.

I don't hate the sports, I am just loving on the SR5s.

Nice job. My new SR5 has 3/1.5 with 285/70/17 BFG Ko2 as well. I had mine next to sport yesterday and mine looked 10x better. When you put tires and wheels with level or lift on SR5 they look mean. I never wanted a moon roof on a truck either.

Same here. I got the 4x4 option in case i ever need it and of course i equipped my truck with some all terrain tires just in case as well. like they said its better to have it and than not having it in case u come to a situation that u might need it. i dont follow the crowd and beat my truck up just for off roading credibility lmao, if they wanna talk shit about my truck or call it a mall crawler go ahead it doesnt bother me at all lol....

Do you need remote start, bigger tires if towing instead of off roading, climate control when you can just turn the vent, mpg and other display gadgets when dashcommand does it better, ac outlet that is only on when engine is or a non functioning hood scoop ? If you don't mind the extra $$$ go for it. Add on what you need later possibly. IMO I think V6 and tow package are worth it if you need it.
