I like my TRD, but (sorry TRDeity) I hate the sport/mesh bucket seats. They are nice, just do not fit me well. I have adds on here and local paper offering a straight trade for the SR5 cloth seats, as the dealer says they interchange... just swap :bananadance:

You really need to test drive a TRD first. The seats are awesome.

The TRD sport has nice suspension, and a limited slip diff. My SR5 has never let me down in any condition, off road, snowy and icy road conditions. Save the money for a lower truck payment, you wont be sorry.

I know this is an old thread, but if you got the SR-5 and then had the suspension TSB done, wouldn't you basically have a TRD?

I have the SR5, and the only reason I regret not getting the sport is I wanted limited slip. Don't really care about the seats, etc. I thought I heard the 09s come with it regardless, but not sure. Now its going to cost me $450 for a Detroit TrueTrac, and probably $500 to get the damn thing put in.

My 08' SR5 came with a LSD rear end. Honestly, I would rather have the TruTrac as it is clutchless.

I will be replacing my rear differential and axle next summer with a E-Locker. I find them more useful than LSD in some situations. ;)

Except for the sport interior... yes and no.

After the suspension TSB my truck will be just like a TRD Sport except for the interior and the hood scoop and the color matched grill.

    ...oh, and the badge.
