I had a 1975 SR5 Long Bed truck, which if I remember correctly was the first year that Toyota used the SR5 designation. My understanding is that the 5 in the SR5 stood for the 5 speed manual transmission.......so now I have a 2009 SR5 that has a 6 speed manual transmission......SR6 anyone?

Actually. I wish I had a 5 speed and a long bed, but that's for another thread

Yeppo! Since then, the meaning has changed, and now its a trim level, as opposed to a suspension/tranny designation.
