This is interesting, because the 2017 TRD Off Road came with the chrome unless you got the P&T package, then it had painted due to the sensors. I have not looked at any 2018s yet. I assume there have not been any issues with reflection off the chrome.

Edit: Its possible the color keyed bumper was due to the BSM on the Off Road more so than the rear parking sonar.

I was wondering the same thing. I would’ve expected the SR5s with parking sonar to have the painted bumper, like the Off Road and Sport. I prefer the painted bumper myself, but my dad likes the chrome so he was happy about it.

Any SR5 out there with the "SR5 Parking Sonar & Navigation Package (V6 only): includes Entune™Premium Audio and rear parking sonar". It looks like a $750 MSRP add-on to some SR5s from this spec sheet:

I am not sure if this was an option pre-2018, but I'm in the market for a Tacoma. This is an option I'd like to get with an SR5 as opposed to going to a more costly higher trim that starts to add in items I don't need nor want to pay for.

My local dealer said it wasn't an option and I would have to move up to an Offroad or Sport to get anything like that. I just sent him the spec sheet to have him do some legwork....perhaps it's new for 2018 and he was not aware. I am not confident in a seller when I become more informed than they are :/

Does anyone have this option on an SR5? I'm looking for some TW info.

I kinda sorta regret not getting the Nav/Sonar package on my '18 SR5 DCSB 4x4. The dealer had identical silver SR5's, one with it and one without it. I'm cheap and I knew I'd never use the the NAV but I do infact think I would have liked the Sonar features.
