Today I went off roading at high speeds and hit a ditch pretty hard. Right away, the SRS warning light came on and the Seat Belt light began flashing. These lights continued for the remainder of the trip, and have continued to come back on after restarting the truck.

Any ideas on what it could be?

Or how to safely turn these warning lights off?

I'd start simple and disconnect the battery for a few minutes. Might just need a reset.

I'm gonna guess here and I'm not judging. You did not have your seat belt on, correct?

The SRS (air bag) system is designed to work in conjunction with the seat belts. If you did not have the seat belt on, the bags will not blow when you have an impact. I'm wondering if the impact you gave the truck would have been hard enough to blow the bag if the seat belt was on. This combination of dash lights is indicating and storing a code that there was some sort of crash. I hope I'm wrong. I bet you are going to be needing an SRS ECU.

If the battery disconnect trick does not work, you are going to have to get the truck scanned by a high end scanner. Auto zone scanners won't work.

I'm pretty up on how the first and second gen air bag system works, but obviously have had no contact with 3rd gen air bag systems.

In previous systems, as long as the start up continuity check passes, the air bag system returns to a ready state. For example, if a connector on the bottom of the seat comes un connected, the air bag light will turn on. reconnect that plug and restart the truck and all is good. Light goes away.

I'm very interested in what is going on with your truck. Please update what you find.
