    Hey guys.

My srs light just came on (not flashing, just on all the time) It has gone off briefly a few times, but only to come back on. Due to this I think its a loose connection that i just need to re secure. Do any of you have any experience with this? Or know how i can find where the connections are and make sure theyre all plugged in? Or would it just be easiest to find someone who can read the codes for me?

Before it's suggested, the clock spring is fine. I put a new one in recently, and my horn/ cruise control still work, so i doubt that it is the issue.

I'm looking at buying a 1999 PreRunner with the SRS light on. This might be an inspection issue here in Maine. I'm trying to figure out my best troubleshoot options so I don't miss the fact that its the airbag itself or an undisclosed accident.

bad connections usually occur on the sensors of the SRS system:

crash sensors at the front of the truck (they sometimes corrode and go bad)
    passenger airbag on-off switch
    sensors under the seats
    seatbelt pretensioners
clockspring (but it is not your issue, as you changed yours not so long ago)
Can also be SRS ECU or the airbags themselves but it is rare to see these failing

If you want to be sure of which one it can be, get error codes pulled out of the truck

Can you get it to a dealer? They can scan it and tell you what part of the system is causing the light to go on.
