Well this has been a long journey so let me explain I went to go get an inspection in November didn't pass because my SRS light didn't illuminate so I disassembled the dash and replaced the bulbs thinking a bulb was blown that didn't solve the problem so I went on a hunt for a new airbag computer which seemed impossible because not a single junkyard had a Tacoma in VA finally found one from a guy had done a double cab swap and didn't need the old computer. The light worked but would sometimes stayed on (I was able to pass the VA inspection). It would sometimes stay on if I tried to start the truck to fast I noticed anyways I get in the truck today and guess what no airbag light so now I have no idea what to do. AND I highly doubt a second computer went out in less then a week. So the question is, is they're something else in the system that could be causing the computer to short out. The wiring diagram seemed pretty simple.

I have the "airbag" symbol light come on when I turn the key to run. when the truck starts the light goes off. One possible problem could be the seatbelt buckle sensor. You have to buckle your belt in order for the airbag to work properly (at least that's my understanding).

The clockspring (spiral cable) of the steering wheel, when it goes bad, can cause airbag problems.

Though, when it is indeed the clockspring that is defective, it is usually accompanied with other problems such as cruise control not working, horn intermittently working, turn signals illuminating when not using the flashers, and of course, the airbag light coming on (or not). If any of this happens especiallly when the steering wheel is turned, it is a good sign that the clockspring is bad

Anyway, wouldn't be bad to check your spiral cable, especially if you have checked the wiring and swapped the computer and found out they are not the culprits

Oh and btw, check the airbag fuse in the fuse box if you haven't! But I guess that's the first thing you did

I think I'm going to go ahead and replace the clock spring because since I've had to truck the horn has never worked and then the computer for the 2nd time if that doesn't solve the issue,Thank y'all for the help.

the part number for your year model (1995) is:

84306-04040, if you have cruise control
84306-02020, if you don't have cruise control

check the junkyards near you for old toyota cars, such as old corollas or camrys, they sometimes have the same clockspring.
