Installed my SS3’s in Amber today, and I’ll say I’m a little disappointed in Toyota mostly. I didn’t realize how shotty the mounting points/hardware is for the factory fog lights until now. I installed the SS3’s and with the extra weight they carry I’m not confident they’re super secure with the single self tapping screw that Toyota uses to hold the fog lights in the housing… has anyone else felt this way?

No, I think it will be fine. I was disappointed in the gap on SS3 kit. I inserted in tabs, then screwed in and it feels solid to me. The tabs hold most the weight and screw secures it.
    You get the tabs correct?

I have Baja design SAE's and DD ss3's. Gap was better on Bajas but DD was brighter.

Been running mine for a year with no issues. My Silverado did not have anything more complex as far as mounting. They don't need a lot to hold them in place. Heck your whole headlight assemble is not attached too much more securely.

I installed mine about 2 weeks ago now, they seem to stay in place just fine.

I’m sure they’ll be fine, I had them in my f-150 and the mounting on that was very similar. Slide in tabs on one side and screw on the other. But that single little 1/4” screw just doesn’t offer much re-assurance.

I run SS3s in Baja on some shitty roads and they are perfect. My DD 18” recessed bar vibrates so fucking bad tho I’m scared its going to cause an epileptic fit!

    No issues here either.
