A while ago I bought a set of Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro fog lights after reading the fog light thread and seeing decent reviews for them popping up. I had them mounted previously on my 95 2.7L MT Taco before with a few simple holes drilled into the old bumper but wanted a more elegant solution on my 2003 Taco. The factory turn signals seemed to be in the best place for fog lights and a lot of other posts were showing different retrofit options using those factory housings or other fog lights. In order to put the SS3's there I needed to come up with a bracket that not only held the lights in place but also still looks like they belong on the truck. After many months of tinkering I believe I finally have something elegant enough for me to be happy with sharing.

    IMG_4006.jpg
The main section of the bracket fits into the same mounting points as the turn signal, but since it weighs a bit more I wanted to use a nylon locking nut with a bolt instead of a clip solution like the factory signals.

    IMG_4009.jpg
I came up with two side piece "fillers" to add to the look of the mount without restricting airflow to the cooling fins on the lights. Splitting the filler into two parts also made it a lot easier to 3D compared to my initial designs.

    IMG_4016.jpg
    IMG_4012.jpg

I've been playing with some SEM chip guard paint to see if I can get the coating to come out nice to hide the print lines from my 3D printer and also protect the plastic, but so far I haven't had any problems with damage or the heat of the summer effecting the brackets ability to hold the lights securely.

    IMG_4022.jpg
There's a couple things left to tweak on it but other than those minor fixes I think it came out pretty well. In case anyone's wondering I moved my turn signals into the parking light housings in my other thread.

Nice work! If I still had a 1st gen, I'd be lined up to buy a pair of mounts!

    OP, nice work!

The first gen Tundra fog spot is where I hope to stuff those SSC2’s but we will have to see if they even fit.

If you need help with a mount let me know. Diode might already have a solution for the Tundras though since it's a round mounting location on some models.

You make those fit a 1st gen steel bumper and I’m buying a set of mounts.

    Ours are all ovalized.

I think I have a 6-8 week wait on the ssc2's though. I plan to cannabolize the OEM enclosures if possible.

    F yeah! I didn't measure. Figured I'd have to get a new bumper if they don't :p

Best I’ve got off hand [IMG] They’re a bit bigger than Tacoma turn signals

Cool. If it's bigger than Tacoma ones that's good, it might not have to stick out as far as mine do.
