    that's really two separate issues. the cover doesn't provide any waterproofing, it just aesthetically improves the installation. underneath the cover should be dielectric grease, which will prevent corrosion, which will maintain electrical conductivity. but the wires could be entirely uncovered with only dielectric grease on them and function identically.

    i did order another few wire covers after taking those pictures during the installation, and have since installed it, because i'm not happy seeing the bare wire lugs.

    VLEDS V tail conversion, gas cap holder
    you should be able to unbolt and rotate the housing so the free spool handle faces outward. Not sure if the Apex just rotates or need to be lifted then rotate.

    definitely something i'll need to look into next time i take the bumper off.
