Hey guys, I plan on reinforcing my tailgate like the DIY (http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/group-buys/253751-05-tacoma-tail-gate-reinforcement-group-buy.html) ones posted on this forum, but I was also planning on installing ST stands (strapless transport) onto my 06 tacoma double cab short bed. The main issue is I don't know how safe it would be if I install onto the tailgate after it's reinforced and if I should also reinforce other parts to ensure that it won't fall off or anything would happen. Any suggestions would be welcomed. Also, I plan on installing 2 of them so I would have 2 400lb sportbikes on my bed.

IMO I would NOT put two sport bikes in the back of a shortbed taco. I've ben't every tailgate I've ever owned, it's only a matter of time until yours bends.

To answer your question should you choose to load them anyways. YES reinforce EVERYTHING. It's prob still fold like taco. haha get it. GL

Prob better to consider a trailer.
