The crisis that our country, our world, is facing right now is unprecedented. The amount of anxiety and stress that everyone is experiencing from this is also unprecedented. While we sympathize with everyone and the hardships that you are facing or may be facing in the coming weeks and months we ask that you continue to treat the community here within Tacoma World with respect.

Tacoma World has always been a melting pot of many different people with different personalities, backgrounds, and beliefs. Most of the time we are able to find a common thread to get along with one another and let those differences fall to the wayside. Now should be no different. Tacoma World has been much more than just a truck forum to many of us and is a place where we can all come to share a story, tell a joke, and in general escape from the chaos of our day to day lives. Let's continue to let it be that. An escape. What we all need right now is a place to get away from the constant reminder of viruses, government, loss of jobs, worry about family and friends and on and on. Lashing out at one another or coming here to vent your frustrations is not helping anyone. We are all being affected by this in one way or another and are in this together. With the amount of stress everyone is under it doesn't take much to set someone off and cause a simple disagreement to escalate. Please do your part to keep this community as stressfree and welcoming as it can be.

The staff here will continue to take what steps are necessary to uphold the Code of Conduct and keep volatile topics from negatively affecting the community here. This isn't meant as a threat to anyone and we aren't going to be treating situations any differently than we have in the past. Our goal is to keep discord between members to a minimum and will step in when needed to address any conflicts. Please reach out to us via the Chat with Staff forum if you have any concerns or want clarification to the rules that we wish for you to abide by.

We've definitely seen an uptick in the number of reports we are getting. More folks with more free time and everyone stressed out like never before. Its a recipe for disaster if we don't have everyone's cooperation to keep things running smoothly around here.
That it is. So many things are happening at once its hard to wrap your head around it.

But we can't get any better at social distancing than we are right here, right now. Talking to everyone here is probably one of the safest means of communication there is these days!

To be honest, all things considered, and as affected as some of our family (meaning our forum members) are by these circumstances, I have to applaud those members and thank them for stayin cool. They have supreme control.

I also want to thank our mods for being as forgiving as Y'all have been. Like Weesa said, tension are higher and fuses are shorter and I honestly expected to see a lot more bans happening than I have. It's the decisions of a cooler head to allow situations to de-escalate naturally or with some minor coaxing that continue to ensure this remains the best damn Tacoma forum on the interwebs!

    So thank you too. :fistbump:

Cause' like you said, for some, this is all they got left.

Thank you . I live and work in NYC and I am a utility worker in NYC for the last 30 years. It is just crazy what is going . All I hear are ambulances. So many workers here are getting Covid 19 . I really hope all on here is safe and home. How I wish I could be home an on this site all day. It has giving so much insight on My 2104 Tacoma. No one should be stressed when you log in here or fight. Life is short and enjoy every moment. I lost a few friends already , some are COVID19+ and friends lost parents. So if you get up tomorrow. ENJOY IT
