    Greetings all.

I have a few questions about towing with my Taco so instead of placing them all in one post, I'll see if an answer has already been given in the archives & if not, I'll post to the appropriate thread one topic at a time.

    Question 1:

The trailer we are looking at buying is this (or similar) - https://www.rvguide.com/specs/winnebago/travel-trailer/2021/micro-minnie/1800bh.html

I plan to add a suspension lift kit (already know a body lift kit does not increase any of my payload/towing numbers but a suspension life it does). My question for the Taco Continuum is which has been better for some of you - a Stage 2 lift of a Stage 3? A Stage 4 is overkill & a Stage 1 doesn't seem to do anything at all. My thoughts are that adding a suspension lift, I won't have to worry about installing Timbrens, Summo Springs (on the truck - still considering putting them on the trailer), or air bags.

    Thanks in advance!

You will get ton's of varying responses or none at all. The towing forum here is a good place to read up on what people have had success with. I tow a Forest River 16BHS that is 3400lbs dry and 4k loaded. I have towed it up to about 4500lbs and didn't notice the extra weight. Nothing you do will increase the payload of the truck. You can make the truck handle the load better but know that pretty much all weight will need to go into the camper or the truck will be over payload. Tacoma's are designed to haul a wet fart around and they do it okay. Have some realistic expectations and just be prepared to get single digit fuel economy. Some guys report fuel in the 11-14mpg range but others get 8-10, it really depends upon where you go and how fast you want to get there. My fuel economy went up after putting the Magnuson on. Not enough to ever make it worth it for the fuel savings but it's bragging points to the wife.

My truck setup and mods. Maguson Blower, Icon 3 leaf aal, King Adjustable rear shocks, King non adjustable fronts. 285/75r16 Toyo AT3 and light weight wheels. I have a redarc brake controller and use an Andersen WDH.
