Hey guys, I'm thinking about buying the Stage 1 Icon Suspension package from Demello Offroad for my 1995.5 Toyota Tacoma Xtracab.

I'm shooting for a 3" lift and am going with the Total Chaos UCA as well.

Is this a good deal? Also, I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out with leaf pack I'll need to upgrade to along with the front end. I do not want to do an AAL because lets face it... my stock leafs have seen enough use (19 years now). Note* I have a camper shell.

So its about $2,160.00 and that includes the TC UCA, Front Icon CO & Rear remote reservoir shocks. And does NOT include the leaf pack.

I found one from that is for 98-04 Tacomas but can be used with the 95.5-97 Tacoma Models with front spring hangars and rear shackle hangars. It is $399 for the leaf + $69 for the hangars and bolts.

Its looking to be a total of around $2,630. I'll get a whole heck lot more travel with this kit.

I guess what I'm really after is some sort of reassurance that this is a good deal. I've done a good bit of research on competing systems: Camburg UCA & SAW shocks, BOSS Suspension, & Toytec Ultimate Lift and I think with this setup I'll get the best bang for my buck.

    Thoughts?

Looks like price wise they beat out downsouth motor sports, so it appears to be a good deal.

As for the icon kit you can't go wrong with it... However it appears that this is the standard travel kit so the ucas aren't necessary, but if your ucas have seen there better days then now would be the time.

Are you looking for the extended travel coil overs or just standard?

As for the rear. I'm not very familiar with the 95's, but if you have to move front spring hangers then it's gonna call for some fabricating. The all pro leaf packs are good as far as I've heard. I think ome makes a set of dakars for the 95-97 so that could be a good option, it shouldn't involve any fabricating. I love my dakars so far I have the aal and it holds my tool box, rack, and rtt.

I would LOVE the extended travel CO but I haven't been able to find them without going into a stage 2 suspension kit and anything above stage one includes an Add A Leaf, and that'll be wasted money with a brand new leaf pack.

I also favored the OME Dakars but I wasn't able to find a leaf pack with more than 1.5" of lift in the rear.

The extended travel coilovers just have a bushing or something removed from inside the shock. The stage 1 offers it, just contact DSM or whoever you're buying from and let them know you're interested in the extended travel length. As far as leaf packs, Wheeler's has a bunch of options to take a look at.

Btw, are you sure the rears are remote reservoirs? All the stage 1 kits I've seen are non-reservoirs.

I'm fairly sure, the part numbers matched up & they were included in the picture. I'll follow up with a call to make sure......

When you call them, ask about extended travel. They might just not have them listed. Most shops will stock both extended and normal or you'll just have to wait for them to be built/adjusted. I got mine through DSM. Stage 1 extended travel.
